Rail & Infrastructure

From first interview Crossway Scaffolding demonstrated they understood what protection was needed to achieve, both from public protection point of view and as a working platform, working closely together with ourselves over a number of weeks the scheme was developed further and final designs produced with some truly innovative solutions.

From the outset Crossway have delivered in every way, the protection deck has been constructed over multiple rail and Metrolink platforms utilising limited time working possessions, while maintaining the ped flow requirements for station that is open 24 hours a day with 6 million passengers a year and an arena with 22,000 capacity exiting over a 20 minute period up to twice a day.

It has been clear that the Crossway's team on this project have been keen to impress us with how they work safely on our infrastructure and have a good understanding of the possession working arrangements.

From a Network Rail perspective it has also been a key objective for us to have contractors involved in the scheme who are capable of working well with the other parties and stakeholders. A number of comments have been received on how you have endeavoured to resolve issues and help keep the station operational during difficulties. This proactive attitude cannot be underestimated as a valuable contribution to the delivery of the scheme & minimising the disruption to passengers.

I recognise the difficulties that the operational nature of the station plays in constructing such a scaffolding system as that which we have on Victoria. You have made significant inroads into minimising the number of connections (and therefore health and safety concerns on them coming loose) & this has been a real achievement to develop on similar schemes moving forward.

I would like to thank you and your team on behalf of the Liverpool Lime Street team for the works Crossways carried at the weekend on REB C. Great job well done!

We, AMCO Giffen, know we will get a reliable and professional service from Crossway, that is why they are an approved and trusted supplier for us. The operatives delivering the work are collaborative and always have a positive attitude towards the work regardless of the challenges which inevitably arise.

The footbridge had to be landed within a specific possession and Crossway comfortably achieved this date.  When removing the existing bridge at Garforth the team worked exceptionally well under time pressure and went above their requirement by assisting AMCO Giffen installing lateral constraints between the bridge and the scaffold structure.

I would highly recommend Crossway for their professionalism and positive attitude
