MENTAL HEALTH WORLD CUP
Crossway Takes to the Pitch at Goodison Park for the Mental Health World Cup
At Crossway Scaffolding, we are proud to support initiatives that make a positive difference within our industry and wider communities. This year, we were delighted to accept an invitation from Overbury PLC to participate in the Mental Health World Cup charity football tournament, held at the iconic Goodison Park Stadium.
Joining us for the event was our trusted design partner, Buckley Design Solutions, with both companies combining forces to create a team. The day provided a fantastic opportunity to strengthen relationships away from the workplace, enjoy some friendly competition, and most importantly, support an incredibly important cause.
What is the Mental Health World Cup?
The Mental Health World Cup is the UK's leading charity football tournament dedicated to raising awareness of mental health and suicide prevention. Since its launch, the tournament has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity, with 100% of profits donated to organisations supporting mental health across the UK.
A Day to Remember
Playing at one of English football's most historic stadiums made the occasion even more special. Goodison Park provided an unforgettable backdrop for a day filled with teamwork, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to supporting mental health awareness.
While there was plenty of competitive spirit on display, the event served as an important reminder that mental health affects us all. The construction industry continues to face significant challenges surrounding mental wellbeing, making events such as the Mental Health World Cup vital in helping to break down stigma and encourage people to seek support when they need it.
We would like to thank Overbury PLC for inviting us to be part of such a worthwhile event and to Buckley Design Solutions for joining forces with us on the pitch. We are proud to have contributed to an initiative that is helping to make a real difference and look forward to supporting future events that champion mental health awareness.
Because when it comes to mental health, every conversation matters.
